
The Creighton Community Health Center (CCHC) was established to address the health disparities in underserved minority populations in the greater Omaha area by offering affordable healthcare and screenings.
The Center focuses on prevention, outreach, education, and research for four of the most prevalent chronic diseases:
- Heart Disease
- Diabetes
- Obesity
- Hypertension
Community Center Programs
- Commit to Quit is a smoking cessation program that includes eight one-hour, small group sessions held over a period of seven weeks. One-on-one counseling sessions are also available.
- Every Woman Matters is sponsored by the State of Nebraska to provide education and annual health checkups for women age 40 and older, with limited or no health insurance and low or medium income.
- Heart Healthy Living 101 provides free 10-week educational program designed to increase awareness of the risks of heart disease and stroke. Topics include healthy eating, exercise, blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes, grocery shopping, food label reading and stress management.
- Ladies On The Move is a 12-week moderate- to high-intensity exercise program designed to help women on the go get more physical activity.
- Walking Club strives to promote healthy lifestyles through mild and moderate walking exercises and health education sessions. The Walking Club meets from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. every Tuesday and Thursday at the CCHC, Suite B.

The Community Center provides the following medical services to men and women:

- Chronic Disease Management - Heart Disease, Obesity; Asthma, High Blood Pressure, Diabetes
- Free HIV/STD Testing
- Free Blood Pressure, Cholesterol, and Glucose Screenings
